About our Interns
Heidi Richardson Editorial Intern

Heidi’s favourite pastimes are reading, reviewing and discussing books and poetry. She writes poetry and prose and enjoys reading translated fiction. She’s currently editing poetry and reviewing poetry anthologies for Inkfish. Outside of her degree, Heidi loves to travel and go running. She spends most of her time swimming in the sea by the coasts of Cornwall, where she attends university, and at home in Brighton.

Zoë Blake-James Editorial Intern

Zoë has been enjoying her time proofreading and copyediting for Inkfish publications, including an upcoming poetry anthology from the Cornish Mor Poets group. Beyond this, she hopes to get even more stuck in with the magazine, by interviewing authors, writing book reviews and developing publicity campaigns. In her downtime, Zoë enjoys reading, writing, cooking for family or transcribing old documents.

Amirah Walters Editorial Intern

Amirah mostly spends her time proofreading, writing blog posts and reviewing books. One of her favourite parts of the job is finding new books to write reviews about — she could talk about books for hours, so getting to write about them is a perfect fit. When she isn’t working on the magazine, she is working on her English and Creative Writing degree, looking for new coffee shops, reading, or exploring new walking routes.

Ambika Bates Editorial Intern

Ambika is currently working on an interview series with Cornish fiction writers for the Spring Eco-Fiction edition of Inkfish magazine, and is also writing her own stories and poetry on-theme. In her free time, she enjoys reading (English and Creative Writing student so a bit of a requirement), writing (of course), travelling, and spending far too much on film for her Pentax K1000.
